The owners of Atilis Gym Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court For The District Of New Jersey on Tuesday against New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, State Police Superintendent Patrick Callahan and Commissioner of the Department of Health Judith Persichilli. The suit filed by The Mermigis Law Group claims Muprhy’s order “bestows unbridled authority” to Callahan for enforcing emergency restrictions. It also said of the essential businesses allowed to remain open that “the classification was not reasonable or rational and was arbitrary and random without any data and therefore a denial of due process”. The suit quotes Murphy’s recent claim “the Bill of Rights is above my pay grade. I wasn’t thinking about the Bill of Rights when we did this”. A copy of the complaint can be found here.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy took to social media on Saturday to announce that he has a tumor on his kidney saying “Over 50,000 New Jerseyans will hear the worlds “You have cancer”. Having been diagnosed with bladder cancer in December I was able to put political differences aside and sympathize with Murphy – until I realized he was politicizing his cancer diagnosis and making his announcement a commercial for the Affordable Healthcare Act.
After initially facing challenges the Phil Murphy Recall Petition has formally been approved by the State of New Jersey. “The Phil Murphy Recall Petition is officially approved by the State of New Jersey,” the Recall Phil Murphy Facebook page posted on Thursday.
I am not a fan of the Real Housewives of New Jersey and probably would not know the name Joe Giudice if it were not for his legal issues. What I do know that Guidice was set to be released from prison on March 14, 2019 but is being held on an immigration detainer as his appeal on his deportation order makes it’s way through the court system. That appeal process could take up to a year. This leaves me wondering why we have not heard from Murphy, Menendez, Booker or other New Jersey Democrats on the Joe Guidice case. Guidice has been in the U.S. for 45-years and has a wife and children in New Jersey. Murphy has allotted $2.1 million for the legal defense of illegal immigrants facing detention or deportation in New Jersey. Why are New Jersey Democrats not stepping in to help Guidice?
There is a race to insanity in the Democratic party. Congressional Democrats like Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Maxine Waters, Cory Booker, Robert Menendez and others show us their deep rooted insanity almost daily. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has been showing us his for the past year as he works hard to protect illegal immigrants and ignore the hard working law abiding citizens of New Jersey. Lately we’ve talked about New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his Declaration of Independence from Washington and the pardons and commuted sentences he granted 29 illegal criminal immigrants facing deportation for their crimes. Not to be outdone Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio took his turn.
This week we began the rebranding of the blog to The Informed Conservative. A new web site is being developed and our Facebook page was created. This week we discussed Cory Booker’s potential run for President in 2020, Democratic leadership in NJ rushing through a constitutional amendment that will rig the legislative redistricting process, an Asbury Park Press editorial regarding marijuana legalization, Vincent Squire’s “Season of Giving”, Murphy accomplishing his dream of making New Jersey a sanctuary state, a discussion about leaving NJ or staying and fighting Murphy’s destructive agenda, hundreds of jobs and millions in tax revenues leaving with Honeywell and Murphy focusing his time outside of New Jersey.
Remember the job market that was booming? The job market that has reflected more available jobs then available talent for the first time in recorded U.S. history? The 3.7% unemployment rate? The U.S. economy that’s about to set a record for the longest expansion? The record breaking stock market? The U.S. once again becoming a leader on the world stage? The safety and security of our nation being a priority? President’s Trump’s America first strategy? Remember when our President was working with Congress to make the lives of the American people better? #MeToo. Like it was yesterday.
