The move will generate millions in new taxes, proving it’s just another Democratic tax grab at the expense of New Jersey’s hard working families. While Democrats still hold a majority in New Jersey Republicans had reason to celebrate on Tuesday night and Democrat State Senate President Steve Sweeney slammed Democrat Governor Phil Murphy. After Murphy told reporters that Democrat wins in lower-tier races and tight races in competitive State Assembly districts amounted to a successful night for Democrats saying “the party is stronger than before without question” Sweeney replied “Are you kidding me?” . Sweeney told NJ Advance Media “Really? How do you spin that? It wasn’t a good day. This is the first net loss in the Senate in a decade. You can spin it however you want. We lost”.

August 21, 2019. NJGOP Chairman: Murphy Can’t Stay Silent On Anti-Semitic Appointee
For Immediate Release
Trenton, NJ – A report from NJ Globe two days ago revealed that Murphy Administration appointee Jeffrey Dye had made multiple anti-Semitic and anti-hispanic comments on his Facebook page. The Department of Labor later released a statement acknowledging he no longer worked for the state.
In response, Governor Murphy said – nothing.

Governor Murphy gave his State of the State address today. I was reminded of Obama blaming Bush for everything that went wrong in the first half of his term and left wondering how long Murphy will blame former Governor Christie for Murphy’s failures. Murphy could have saved the effort. Those of us who live and work in New Jersey already know the state of the state and it is not good. Murphy is far out of touch with the hard working law abiding citizens of New Jersey.
