On Tuesday House Democrats passed legislation to block President Trump’s national emergency declaration to divert funds to build the wall at our southern border. The House vote marks the first time the House or Senate has tried to terminate a Presidential declaration of national emergency using the National Emergencies Act of 1976. The vote was 245 to 182 with all Democrats voting to support the resolution and 13 Republicans joining them. The measure should reach the Senate for a vote by mid-March. The President has promised a veto. Continue reading “Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats put their opposition to our President before the safety and security of Americans again.”
Yesterday afternoon President Trump addressed the nation sharing his plan for border security and ending the government shutdown. The President presented a plan that was developed in cooperation with experts and included compromises. Much of what the President proposed has been agreed upon by Democrats in the past. I ended my blog post yesterday by saying that if Nancy Pelosi does not take the President’s proposal seriously and give it due consideration – even if that means negotiating parts of the President’s plan – it should become glaringly obvious to the American people that the Democrats only priority is opposing the President and denying him a win on a key campaign issue.
New Jersey Republican State Committee Chair Doug Steinhardt published an Op-Ed piece in the Star Ledger on Monday pointing out that Legislative Democrats are scheming to weaken our State Constitution and marginalize the value of your vote.
Remember the job market that was booming? The job market that has reflected more available jobs then available talent for the first time in recorded U.S. history? The 3.7% unemployment rate? The U.S. economy that’s about to set a record for the longest expansion? The record breaking stock market? The U.S. once again becoming a leader on the world stage? The safety and security of our nation being a priority? President’s Trump’s America first strategy? Remember when our President was working with Congress to make the lives of the American people better? #MeToo. Like it was yesterday.
According to an article today in Market Watch “the strongest labor market in decades is powering a U.S. economy that’s likely to set a record for the longest expansion ever by next year. Steady work and rising incomes are giving households the purchasing power to keep the good times going”. This got me thinking about Liberals and their hatred for our President. The economy and job market have broken records under this President and we have regained our strength on the world stage due to President Trump’s Machiavellian approach to international affairs. The President’s America first strategy is working. Trump said he’d make America great again and said that under his leadership “Our families will thrive, our people will prosper and our nation will forever be safe and strong and proud and mighty and free”. We seem to see all of that happening. Why then is there so much hate from Liberals?
