It was another busy week in New Jersey and around the country as we discussed the border crisis, Obamacare registration numbers being down this year, corruption in Atlantic City, New Jersey subsidizing the horse racing industry, Christ Christie being considered as President Trump’s Chief of Staff, the high capacity magazine ban in New Jersey and Obamacare being rule unconstitutional by a Federal Judge.
Eleven hours ago we reported, as did major media outlets throughout the morning, that President Trump was considering former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to be his Chief of Staff. The two met in Washington on Thursday. This afternoon media outlets began reporting that Christie asked Trump to remove his name from consideration. The Informed Conservative has been getting criticized on social media by people who apparently did see the timestamp on our original post.
It’s been reported that President Trump is considering replacing Chief of Staff John Kelly who will depart the White House at the end of the year with former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Trump and Christie met in Washington on Thursday reportedly to discuss the job. Trump called Christie a “top contender”. Others being considered include David N. Bossie the President’s former Deupty Campaign Manager, White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum and Blackstone executive Wayne Berman.
