On Tuesday House Democrats passed legislation to block President Trump’s national emergency declaration to divert funds to build the wall at our southern border. The House vote marks the first time the House or Senate has tried to terminate a Presidential declaration of national emergency using the National Emergencies Act of 1976. The vote was 245 to 182 with all Democrats voting to support the resolution and 13 Republicans joining them. The measure should reach the Senate for a vote by mid-March. The President has promised a veto. Continue reading “Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats put their opposition to our President before the safety and security of Americans again.”
Last week the Informed Conservative covered NYC Mayor de Blasio wanting to end private control of property, Governor Murhy’s State of the State Address, Senator Menendez’s anger at Fox News for reporting that he was on the beach in Puerto Rico with a woman while the government shutdown continued, Investigative journalist Laura Loomer bringing illegal immigrants to Nancy Pelosi’s house seeking sanctuary, Alexandria Ocasio-Corte making a sexually charged comment during an interview, The View hosts challenging NYC Mayor de Blasio, New Jersey placing first again, Nancy Pelosi’s ridiculous solution to the crisis on our southern border, President Trump’s plan for border security and ending the government shutdown and Congressional Democrats showing they don’t care about border security, the government shutdown or the American people.
This afternoon President Trump took his message directly to the American people and shared his plan for border security and ending the government shutdown. It’s clear the President is willing to compromise, has consulted professionals while developing a plan and as always is putting the American people first. If Nancy Pelosi does not take the President’s proposal seriously and give it due consideration – even if that means negotiating parts of the President’s plan – it should become glaringly obvious to the American people that the Democrats only priority is opposing the President.
The severity of Nancy Pelosi’s case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (which Psychology Today speculates may be a legitimate mental condition) is deepening. The House Speaker is so desperate to oppose President Trump on the border wall (you remember the border wall that Democrats wanted until then candidate Trump made it a campaign issue) and pander to the radical left that she’ll propose any solution to the crisis at our southern border (a crisis she no longer acknowledges) no matter how ridiculous. Her latest? Electronic dogs at the border.
The Informed Conservative Blog focused more on national politics this week as the federal government shutdown reaches it’s 23rd day. This week we asked what impact the federal government shutdown is having on New Jersey, if there is a mental health crisis in the Democratic party, we discussed the President’s address to the nation and the Democrats lack of credible response, asked you to take action and tell Governor Murphy that you oppose driver licenses for illegal immigrants, asked when Democrats started hating America, where Democrats are while President Trump is working to end the shutdown and reminded you of Elián González.
President Trump addressed the nation last night on border security and the government shutdown. The President called the situation at our southern border a “growing humanitarian and security crisis”, a “A crisis of the heart and a crisis of the soul” and said it was a “cycle of human suffering” that he is determined to end. Trump’s message was on point and consistent with what he’s been telling the American people since he began his campaign to become President. We need border security. The President has said repeatedly that he doesn’t want to ban immigration into the U.S. but wants to make sure immigrants come here legally. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer responded minutes after the President concluded his address. Their response reminded me of one of the courtroom scenes in the movie My Cousin Vinny “Everything that guy just said is bulls*it. Thank you”.
Psychology Today speculates that Trump Derangement Syndrome may be a legitimate mental condition. In one of the worst cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome we’ve seen Democratic Senators Cory Booker and Robert Menendez along with Democratic Congressmen Albio Sires and Donald Payne Jr held a news conference at Newark Liberty International Airport today. In an apparent attempt to sway opinion before President Trump’s address tonight Menendez told the press that the President’s address should come with a warning to viewers that “the comments you are about to hear are not based on fact and are likely to include misinformation, blatant lies and fear mongering”. It seems to me that it is Menendez, Booker, Sires and Payne who are pandering to the uninformed with misinformation, blatant lies and fear mongering.
About 100 members of the migrant caravan that has been trying to invade the U.S. Mexico border traveled the streets of Tijuana to the U.S. Consulate on Tuesday morning demanding immediate entry into the U.S. or $50,000 each. They gave President Trump 72 hours to respond. A second group of about 50 migrants delivered a letter to the U.S. Consulate complaining about the slow asylum process and asking that 300 migrants be processed through the San Ysidro port of entry each day rather than the 40 to 100 currently processed daily. My question is what gives these people the right to invade our border and make demands and why do Liberals support them?
President Trump met with Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer today in what was a heated discourse. The meeting took place after the President sent out a Tweet this morning stating that he’d have the military build the remaining sections of the border wall if Congress didn’t approve funding. With cameras broadcasting live from the Oval Office Trump insisted he’s willing to shut down the government if Congress doesn’t approve funding for the border wall. “If we don’t have border security we’ll shut down the government” Trump said. The meeting left questions as to if the two sides will come to an agreement and Congress will pass a spending bill to keep the government running before the December 21st deadline. The President is asking for $5 billion for border security.
