After voting in July to file a federal lawsuit against Governor Murphy’s administration over the Immigrant Trust Directive that prohibits state, county and local law enforcement agencies from cooperating with ICE in New Jersey the Ocean County Board of Freeholders filed the lawsuit against Attorney General Grewal and his office. The Board of Freeholders is seeking a declaration that Grewal’s Immigrant Trust Directive exceeds the lawful scope of his authority and is preempted by the federal government’s exclusive authority to regulate and enforce immigration laws. It also seeks a declaration that the attorney general lacks authority to regulate the county’s sharing of inmate information with law enforcement agencies.

According to the latest Monmouth University polling released yesterday Governor Murphy’s job approval rating has remained low at 41% since polling earlier this year found his job approval rating to be just 43%. According to the poll Murphy is seen as being more concerned with his own political future than running New Jersey. Public opinion is negative on the impact of Murphy’s agenda on property tax payers and the middle class.

Failed senate candidate and failing presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke pulled the curtain back on the Democratic Party’s true intention regarding the Second Amendment; gun confiscation. Now the party line is a government “buyback” but we all know that is a fancy euphemism for confiscation. Forever liberals have admonished conservatives that “no one is coming for your guns” when discussing the Left’s common sense gun control. That was always a lie. Robert Francis punctuated his position by shouting “he’ll yeah” we are going to take your AR-15’s destroying the false narrative of common sense anything. But we conservatives knew this.
Governor Murphy announced back in July that he and wife Tammy Murphy would be making a seven day – six city tax payer funded trip to India with the supposed goal of strengthening economic ties between India and New Jersey. At about 10:30 last night Murphy tweeted that he and Mrs. Murphy were “Ready for takeoff!” and expressed their excitement about visiting India. I’m sure taxpayers all over New Jersey who could not afford a summer vacation are happy to be paying for the Murphy’s trip to India.
September 13, 2019. Cherry Hill, NJ. NJ CD-1 GOP candidate Josh Duvall released the following statement:
The Democratic party was on full display once again last night, this time ratcheting up the rhetoric on their extreme far-left policy proposals. Government takeover of health care was a thread that weaved its way through the entire debate, being revisited time and time again.
New Jersey’s radical leftist Governor is at it again. Speaking to a group in Bloomfield Monday night Governor Murphy said he would sign a bill granting undocumented illegal immigrants drivers licenses if a bill crossed his desk calling it a “no brainer.” “It’s a no-brainer. I’m frustrated that it’s not on my desk. I encourage you to call your Assembly person, your Senator, and ask him why it is stuck and not on the Governor’s desk because I will sign it” Murphy told a group inside Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield. The bill would give driver licenses to an estimated 400,000 undocumented illegal immigrants in New Jersey.
A New Jersey Senate committee gave initial approval to a bill banning pharmacies from selling tobacco and e-cigarettes on Tuesday. Bill S992 was amended to include retailers with pharmacies such as supermarkets and big box retailers. The bill follows a New York City law that went into effect in January 2019 banning the sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products from pharmacies including supermarkets and big-box stores with a pharmacy.
Today is a day of remembrance of the nearly 3,000 Americans who died on September 11, 2001 including 343 firefighters and 71 police officers. People who woke up that morning to go to work as if it was any other day. A day very much like today as we are all waking up and beginning our days. Families who couldn’t imagine the pain they were about to experience. A nation that couldn’t imagine how it would change. I’ll never forget the images of first responders running into those buildings as people were running to escape. True American heroes who can never be honored enough.
