I’ll ask again. Where are NJ Democrats in the case of Joe Guidice?

Back in March I asked “Where are Murphy, Menendez, Booker ad other New Jersey Democrats in the case of Joe Guidice?”.  Guidice is being held in an ICE detention center awaiting a final decision on his deportation to Saronno Italy.  Meanwhile Governor Murphy and his appointed Attorney General have doubled down on their efforts to protect criminal illegal immigrants in New Jersey, refuse to allow New Jersey law enforcement to cooperate with ICE, allotted $3.5 million in tax payer funding to the legal defense of criminal illegal immigrants, allotted $4 million in tax payer funding to the education of illegal immigrants, want to give driver licenses to illegal immigrants and the list goes on.  Joe Guidice was born in Italy but was brought to the U.S. by his parents when he was a year old and raised in New Jersey.  Why are Murphy and other New Jersey Democrats not coming to his defense?  Are Italians not a large enough voting bloc for New Jersey Democrats?

I am not a fan of the television show Real Housewives of New Jersey and probably would not know the name Joe Giudice if it were not for his legal issues.  What I do know is that Guidice was ordered deported to Italy upon his release from a 41-month prison sentence after a fraud conviction.  In April the Board of Immigration Appeals denied Giudice’s appeal of the deportation order.  His Lawyers filed for a stay with the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.  The stay was granted but Giudice was ordered to be held in an ICE detention facility.  This week a Judge denied his bond request ordering his detention to continue while he awaits final disposition of his deportation order  Giudice’s parents brought him to the United States when he was a year old.  He’s lived in New Jersey not Saronno since.

I am left wondering why we have not heard from Murphy and other New Jersey Democrats on the case of Joe Guidice?  Guidice has been in the U.S. for 48-years, is a New Jersey resident who was raised in the state and has a wife and children in New Jersey.  Is Guidice not the model case of a “dreamer” the Left talks about?

Murphy has said “families who came to New Jersey for a better life do not deserve to be torn apart by the federal government’s cruel and discriminatory policies”.  Both Booker and Menendez have criticized President Trump’s initiatives to fight illegal immigration.  It seems that the case of Joe Giudice is the model for Murphy and New Jersey Democrats to step in but we’ve heard nothing.  Guidice is being separated from his family while being held on an immigration detainer and will be further separated from his wife and four children if deported.  Isn’t the radical Left concerned about family separations?  Are Murphy and other New Jersey Democrats ignoring Giudice’s case because he’s a middle class white male who does not fit the stereotype of the typical illegal immigrant?

I do not know Joe Giudice, I do not watch his wife’s television show and am a verbal opponent of New Jersey’s sanctuary rules and allotting tax payer funds to defend criminal illegal immigrants.  However it’s typical that hypocritical Democrats have not stepped in on Giudice’s behalf.
