Congressman and Presidential candidate Cory Booker (D-New Jersey) seems to leave very little question as to where his priorities lie. As a voter you’d like to think that Booker’s loyalty lies with the people who elected him and he swore to represent but he seems more focused on criminal illegal aliens and allowing drug dealers to enter the United States.
Governor Murphy and his appointed Attorney General Grewal announced on Wednesday that New Jersey has joined New York and Connecticut in filing a federal lawsuit against the IRS over the $10,000 SALT deduction cap. “We’re challenging that rule as unlawful, as a violation of our federal tax code, and we’re asking the federal court in New York to strike it down,” Grewal said. When you dig into it this is just another example of Murphy using our tax resources in his war against the Trump Administration
Trump Derangement Syndrome is a recognized medical diagnosis. I believe that Liberalism should also be recognized as a medical diagnosis. We are in a mental health crisis in this country that escalates every time President Trump sends out a Tweet. Most recently Liberals have convinced themselves that the President’s Tweets last Sunday are “racist”. Of course the President named no names but four idiots stood up and assumed the Tweets were about them.
Failed Camden County Freeholder and Pennsauken Township Committee candidate Vincent Squire has taken his share of criticism on this blog. In the interest of fairness we are reporting that Squire put out a video yesterday filmed in front of the Camden County Courthouse announcing that he was found not-guilty of Second Degree Assault and Second Degree Endangerment of a Child. The charges stemmed from an incident two years ago when Squire was arrested by the Pennsauken Police Department for striking his teenage son.
Governor Murphy announced on Monday that he will be making a seven day six city tax payer funded trip to India in September with the supposed goal of strengthening economic ties between India and New Jersey. While in India Murphy will meet with government officials and industry leaders to “chart a course” to bring more business and investment to New Jersey and to “strengthen the cultural, educational and political bonds” between India and New Jersey. Meanwhile New Jersey is ranked as one of the worst business climates in the U.S. and people are leaving the state like it’s on fire. Why is Murphy not focused on strengthening bonds with New Jersey’s current business community before it’s too late?
Back in February this blog asked the question why does Governor Murphy hate the Jersey Shore? At the time the legislature was debating raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour. In another blog post we talked about why the $15 minimum wage is bad for New Jersey. What most New Jerseyans did not anticipate was Murphy’s short tern rental tax. On the same day that Murphy signed the bill to increase the minimum wage to $15 per hour his new short term rental tax went into effect forcing property owners in New Jersey to charge 6.625% state sales tax and a 5% occupancy fee on short-term rentals. The increased minimum wage and short term rental tax are sure to have a damaging long term effect on the Jersey Shore as the cost of a family vacation at the Jersey Shore will increase by hundreds of dollars. Murphy appears more focused on using tax payer resources to assist illegal immigrants than protecting the livelihoods of those who depend on Jersey Shore tourism for their livelihoods. A bill is on the Governor’s desk to repeal the short term rental tax but Murphy has taken no action leaving New Jerseyans to again ask why Governor Murphy hates the Jersey Shore.
