It was a busy week in New Jersey as we continued to talk about Governor Murphy’s sanctuary dream and pushing job and revenue generators out of the state.
Monday 11/3/18. New Informed Conservative social media channels.
One Monday we launched our new social media channels on Twitter @Conservblog and Facebook. We also designed our new logo this week. A new web site is being developed so we can bring you even more Conservative news and information including an upcoming podcast.

Also on Monday we discussed ICE’s response to the new sanctuary rules by New Jersey’s Attorney General. ICE responded with a threat of more immigration raids in New Jersey. ICE says it has no choice but to conduct more arrests in local neighborhoods and at worksites in New Jersey. A representative of the ICE office in Newark told NBC News that ICE raids will “likely increase” as a result of the directive. “The probability is that at-large arrests and worksite enforcement operations, which already exist, will likely increase due to the fact that ICE will no longer have the cooperation of the jails related to immigration enforcement,” ICE spokesman Emilio Dabul added “the highest priority is public safety and enforcing immigration laws, we must pursue that to the best extent possible, which will likely involve more at-large arrests and worksite enforcement operations.” Attorney General Grewal has not responded.
The Informed Conservative Blog continues to ask the question why is it that New Jersey’s Governor and top law enforcement officer do not feel the need to comply with federal law? Why are Murphy and Grewal not being challenged?
According to a report by the Center for Immigration Studies 63% of non U.S. citizens are on welfare programs as compared to 35% of native households . That equates to over 4.6 million immigrant households on welfare programs in the U.S. The number grows to 70% percent for those in the U.S. for 10 years or longer, The data was analyzed from 2014 census numbers and includes illegal immigrants, long-term temporary visitors like guest workers and permanent residents who have not naturalized. The study found that about half of immigrants on welfare programs are in the U.S. illegally.
While you may think that illegal immigrants cannot participate in welfare programs non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, can receive benefits on behalf of their U.S.-born children. These children are U.S. citizens at birth and fully eligible for welfare programs.
This of course is in addition to the tax burden Governor Murphy is putting on New Jersey residents in welfare programs by making New Jersey a sanctuary state and allocated $2.1 million in tax payer resources to funding the legal defense of illegal immigrants facing detention or deportation.
Wednesday 12/5/18. Is this really what Liberals focus on?
Although I’m busy working to bring home the bacon while listening to Baby It’s Cold Outside I thought I’d kill two birds with one stone and write a quick blog post. I don’t mean to beat a dead horse but I thought I’d be the guinea pig and tackle this issue. Then I’ll take the bull by the horns and get my kids gender specific Happy Meal toys. On the way I’ll stop for a super sized sugary drink I’ll consume with a straw. Then we can all sit down and watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. This should send Liberals scrambling for their safe spaces.
It’s gone beyond Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays. The Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special is now considered racist because Franklin, it’s only black character is sitting alone on one side of the table.
Baby It’s Cold Outside, written in the 1940’s when American culture was much different promotes sexual assault according to some Liberals.
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer promotes bullying.
Michigan lawmakers proposed legislation to stop fast food chains from putting “gender-classified” toys in their kids’ meals is drawing criticism – as it should
Someone commented on Facebook “Soon Ho Ho Ho is gonna be in trouble too. Working girls will be upset!”
Now PETA wants us to stop using common phrases such as “kill two birds with one stone” and “bring home the bacon”.
Liberals appear to be having rage for the sake of having rage. Democrats know that people vote against things rather than voting for them. Is this rage for the sake of rage the Liberal strategy for energizing their base?
In response to 1,311 layoffs expected in the next 2-months with 826 expected before January 1st Murphy responded that we must “recommit to taking immediate action to raise New Jersey’s minimum wage and put it on a path to $15 an hour”.
As reported in the Patch New Jersey will have at least 1,311 layoffs within the next two months with 826 coming by January 1, 2019. Much of the layoffs will happen in retail, where New Jersey has had a number of store closings this year and in healthcare. This is in addition to the 700 to 800 jobs that will leave New Jersey as Honeywell transitions it’s corporate headquarters to North Carolina.
In response to a report from The United Way that said more than 1 million families in New Jersey are “income-constrained” Murphy said this “proves beyond any doubt” the need for efforts to both grow the economy and make it more fair. “But, we must also recommit to taking immediate action to raise New Jersey’s minimum wage and put it on a path to $15 an hour. The Legislature has given its strong support in the past to raising the wage. I have never wavered in my commitment. We must make this a legislative priority and work to enact it before the end of the upcoming holidays”
While business are leaving New Jersey, layoffs are taking place and businesses and families are struggling Murphy appears to be doubling down on his commitment to a $15 minimum wage rather then working to retain and help the very businesses in New Jersey that create and provide jobs.
New Jersey needs a Governor who gets it and will spur economic growth in New Jersey. Clearly Murphy is not that Governor.
Last month Bill and Hillary Clinton began their 13 city speaking tour “An Evening With the Clintons” where according to a press release the Clintons would share “stories and inspiring anecdotes that shaped their historic careers in public service, while also discussing issues of the day and looking toward the future”. Their first stop was Toronto where just 3,000 people showed up to hear them speak in the 19,000 seat arena. Next stop Montreal where attendance was not much better. By the time they hit Texas tickets were going for just $6. Could it be we are tired of Hillary’s endless list of excuses as to why she lost the 2016 Presidential election? Maybe Bill should share “stories and inspiring anecdotes” about Monica. I’d pay $6 a ticket to hear those stories!
Tickets on StubHub were selling for as high as $1,099.22. New York Times Columnist Maureen Dowd paid $177 for her ticket in Toronto. In her opinion piece Curtains for the Clintons Dowd said “What is the point? It’s not inspirational. It’s not for charity. They’re not raising awareness about a cause, like Al Gore with global warming. They’re only raising awareness about the Clintons”.
Unfortunately we’ve heard it all before. Hillary has blamed loosing the Presidency on sexism, Obama not doing enough to help her, the media, James Comey, Russia, the Electoral College, Bernie Sanders and a host of other excuses. Never have I seen her admit that she was a bad candidate who the American people did not like or trust. What could possibly be left to say?
Saturday 12/8/18. Over 500 More layoffs in NJ as Conagra closes 2 NJ offices.
Conagra, parent company to such iconic brands as Slim Jim, Duncan Hines, Healthy Choice, Birds Eye, Vlasic and others has announced the closing of two New Jersey offices in Cherry Hill and Parsippany. The closings will result in 504 layoffs in 2019 – 196 in Cherry Hill and 308 in Parsippany. A Conagra spokesperson called locations in Chicago and Omaha more “cost effective”.
If you’re keeping track we’ve reported 2,611 upcoming layoffs in New Jersey since November 30, 2018. While Governor Murphy is focused on making New Jersey a sanctuary state, a $15 per hour minimum wage, raising taxes and legalizing marijuana companies are fleeing New Jersey. Rather than making New Jersey a business friendly climate the Governor seems focused on putting more burden on New Jersey businesses. I’ve been saying for months that Murphy’s vision for New Jersey is wrong and going to chase the revenue and job creators out of the state. This is just the beginning.
Also on Saturday we discussed politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Vincent Squire being surprised by the ridicule they receive. Do they not realize their ridicule is earned?
In the case of Ocasio-Cortez she should have known she’d be fact checked. She should not be putting herself out there in media interviews the way she has. Rather than go on rants that have shown her gto be inept and have made her look silly perhaps the junior Democrat should have spent some time learning and gaining experience in DC. Instead she’s spoken out in the media on a variety of issues – and has been wrong. She’s proven herself unable to intelligently discuss government financed healthcare, Pentagon accounting errors, unemployment, ICE and several other issues. She couldn’t even name the three branches of government! While campaigning with Bernie Sanders for Kansas Congressional candidate Brent Welder Ocasio-Cortez apparently didn’t know her political colors. While live streaming on Sanders’s Twitter account she said that Welter would “flip this seat red in November.” I’d bet voters are beginning to wish Ocasio-Cortez’s seat turned red.
In the case of Squire he should have known that his lies and inaccurate positions on issues would be fact checked. He should have expected that his criminal record and family home in foreclosure would be questioned. When he announced in the summer of 2017 that he had been arrested and charged with Second Degree Felony Assault for beating his son he should have known people would ask questions. When he compared voting for Democrats to a woman staying with an abusive husband he should have known people would be outraged.
Politicians like Ocasio-Cortez, Squire and even Hillary Clinton should realize they earned their ridicule by their behavior. When they became public figures running for office they should have known they would become talking points for the media and voters. If they didn’t want their detractors to ridicule them they shouldn’t have given them the ammunition to do so.
ICE arrested 105 immigrants in 16 New Jersey counties in a 5 day period recently. According to ICE about 80% of them had prior criminal convictions. Several of them are wanted by Interpol for crimes in their home countries. Some of those arrested had reentered the U.S. illegally after being deported and several were members of gangs including MS-13. This ICE operation proves that Murphy and Grewal’s sanctuary rules are protecting criminals and making New Jersey less safe.
The criminal records of those arrested in ICE’s latest raid in New Jersey include international warrants and convictions for indecent acts by compulsion causing bodily injury, distribution of psychotropic drugs, fraud, forcible touching of a child, distribution of narcotics, prostitution with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, distribution of narcotics on school grounds, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, possession and distribution of narcotics, bank fraud, criminal sexual contact, conspiracy to commit robbery and suspicion of being a member of a street gang.
Governor Murphy and Attorney General Grewal have a responsibility to protect the citizens of New Jersey and enforce the law. It appears they are doing neither. Violent criminals from foreign countries can now sneak over the U.S. border and find sanctuary in New Jersey where they are likely to commit additional crimes.
