The question remains: Is Pennsauken our town or their town?

When I recently expressed concern on the Positively Pennsauken Facebook page about Democratic Pennsauken Township Committee candidate DiBattista being an employee of the Pennsauken Sewerage Authority I was told by local Democrats that there was no connection between the Pennsauken Sewerage Authority and the Pennsauken Township Committee and was challenged to provide proof of a connection.  It didn’t take much research to find just one connection Democrats did not reveal in that conversation. This year there is an important Township Committee election in Pennsauken as there are two seats up for grabs and the candidates on both the Republican and Democratic side are brand new.  If we want to continue to make Pennsauken a great place to live and work we need to get involved in the conversation.  Please follow the candidates’ Facebook pages, get involved and ask questions. Is Pennsauken our town or their town?

A few days ago on the Positively Pennsauken Facebook page I asked the question “Does Mr. Dibattista (Democrat Pennsauken Township Committee candidate) being an employee of the Pennsauken Sewerage Authority with a salary of almost $100,000 cross any personal ethical boundaries for us if he’s elected? I’m not implying anyone is doing anything illegal but it doesn’t feel very good to me.”.  Democrats became very angry and defensive that I asked the question.  Their reaction prompted me to do some additional research.  Here is what I found.
